Ed Rizzardi has spent considerable time developing drawings, templates and fixtures to assist in the creation on various style chairs. Many of these are available to make your chair making experience a truly enjoyable process.

Rocking Chair Drawings: A complete set of working drawing to make a Sam Maloof inspired Rocking Chair are available for $50.00 plus shipping . See pictures on my Web-Site under Maple Rocker and Walnut Rocker to see the finished product. This is not a sketchy set of drawings that will leave you with many unanswered questions. Each page is a completely dimensioned mechanical drawing of each component of the rocking chair. If you make it to the drawing it will fit perfectly. Some of the sclupting is defined on the drawings, some is left up to the artist.

Rocking Chair Patterns: Patterns for the above Rocking Chair are available for $20.00. These are full size templates of the chair components except the crest of the chair. The crest design is for the artist to choose. There is no additional shipping charges if the patters are shipped with the drawings above.
5° Back Leg Seat Templates: Stop messing around with router bits that are hard to use and produce inaccurate transition radius's in the corner of your back leg seat joints. These templates are fast, accurate and fool proof. Templates are machined on a CNC to very exacting tolerances and are a matched set. Simply mount one template on the top of the seat and the opposing template on the bottom of the seat. Use a router with a 1/4" or 3/8 rabbiting bit you can make perfect 5° angle joint cuts in just a few minutes. See picture below to get an idea of how it works. Only the top left template is shown for simplicity purposes. 3° templates are also available for use on smaller chairs. Pricing for a set of 5°templates is $280.00 plus shipping and handling. Delivery is 6 to 8 weeks from time of order.

Large Radius Templates: Drawing small radius's are easy. Drawing large radius's can be a bit more challenging. Have you ever tried to design a piece of furniture and needed a 96"R. Not easy to do. Being over several of your neighbors, construct an very large beam compass and spend half the day making the template! A big waste of time and then you still need to cut out the template. No more! Purchase a set of these CNC machined radius templates and hopefully the range of sizes will work for most all of your projects? The templates range from 24" R to 600" R. The templates are about 48" long. They are machined from 1/4" Birch/MDF plywood.

        There are a total of 18 templates - 36 radiuses.  Templates are available for a cost of $100.00
         plus shipping and handling. These are not recommended for use with a pattern router bit, strictly
         for lay-out work. The picture below shows all 18 templates hanging on a dowel, in my shop for
         easy accessability.
